This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Actively engage in the sales process alongside direct and channel sales teams.
• Identify customer needs and align SailPoint solutions accordingly.
• Present SailPoint's business functions, value propositions, and competitive advantages.
• Deliver product demonstrations to potential customers.
• Collaborate with the RFP response team to assist with RFP submissions.
• Engage in both onsite and remote Proof of Value evaluations.
• Relay product enhancement feedback to the Product Management team.
• Acquire knowledge of the Identity Security and Identity Management sectors.
• Conduct initial demonstrations and discussions related to IGA.
• Coordinate with Account Executives pre- and post-client calls, linking presentations to business outcomes.
• Foster relationships with Customer Success Managers, Product Management, Professional Services, and Partners.
• Develop technical collateral for use across the organization.
• Enhance understanding of IT audit functions and regulatory frameworks such as SOX, HIPAA, NERC-CIP, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Speak at national or regional conferences and meetups.
• Build a personal brand and network within the industry.
• Clearly convey SailPoint’s business value as a strategic sale.
• Communicate with clients beyond IT, including departments such as HR, Finance, risk management, legal counsel, and various lines of business.
• Travel approximately 25% within the United States.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a pre-sales technical resource in a B2B enterprise software environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient understanding of technical infrastructure, including web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories.
• Familiarity with modern SaaS architecture.
• Knowledge of Java, XML, LDAP, SQL, JSON, and platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is advantageous.
• 3+ years of experience with Identity, Governance, and Access Management solutions is preferred.
• Preference for candidates residing in the United States.
• Willingness to travel within the US is essential.
• A BA/BS degree or global equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
• 4+ years of related experience is required.
