Solutions Architect – Enterprise Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the discovery, scoping, solution design, and estimation processes for integration projects.

• Engage directly with clients throughout pre-sales and delivery phases.

• Cultivate trusted-advisor relationships and transform business challenges into platform-native solutions.

• Conduct customer workshops, architecture reviews, whiteboarding sessions, and executive presentations.

• Own the Solutions Design Documents, Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), estimates, and definition-of-done criteria.

• Provide architectural guidance throughout the integration lifecycle, from intake to go-live and handover.

• Design utilizing fixed-price-engineering patterns, reusable connectors, and prioritize configuration over custom code.

• Ensure adherence to ORCA contract fidelity and platform conventions across all implementations.

• Contribute insights and standards through the Architecture Review Council.

• Validate scope, requirements, and estimates prior to delivery commitments.

• Mentor and coach both PortX and customer development teams.

• Transform engagement work into reusable connectors, templates, mappings, patterns, or playbooks.

• Leverage AI tools for code generation, specification-driven scaffolding, automated conformance scoring, and documentation generation.

• Propel continuous improvement across integration patterns, delivery methodologies, estimation models, tooling, and documentation.

• Lead hands-on problem-solving through spikes, reference implementations, and rescue initiatives when necessary.

• Ensure engagements are delivered using templated/FPE patterns with no unreviewed bespoke code.

• Empower delivery teams to manage standard integrations without needing escalation to Solution Architects.

• Enhance estimation accuracy through repeatable work units.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in enterprise integration consulting and implementation, including APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration platforms/iPaaS.

• Proven track record in leading customer engagements.

• Strong customer-facing skills in discovery, workshop facilitation, estimation, executive communication, and commercial scope management.

• Proficient in reading and reviewing code, as well as reviewing pull requests and prototyping.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering, encompassing code generation, agentic tooling, and spec-to-code workflows.

• Working knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes/GitOps-style deployment, and AWS.

• Experience with OpenAPI-first design, both consuming and specifying web services, Git, and standard build tools.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Highly organized with strong prioritization and time management capabilities.

• Adaptable and responsive, capable of adjusting to changing priorities and tight deadlines.

• Confident presence in customer interactions, able to build trust and engagement.

• US Citizenship is required.

• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience in the banking, credit union, or payments domain is strongly preferred.

• Experience in productizing service delivery, including templates, SDKs, connector libraries, and fixed-price packaging, is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with establishing or operating architecture governance, including review boards, ADR practices, and conformance standards, is strongly preferred.
