Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discovery workshops with potential clients to uncover pain points, processes, and obstacles.

• Establish As-Is and To-Be states with clients and convert business goals into solution architecture.

• Define the scope of architecture, timelines, deliverables, success criteria, and effort estimates collaboratively with clients.

• Validate feasibility in collaboration with project managers and engineers.

• Document insights in Statements of Work and project scoping templates.

• Develop and implement technical win strategies for accounts.

• Showcase Squirro’s enterprise AI platform through customized presentations and demonstrations.

• Plan and manage Proof-of-Concepts utilizing client data.

• Prepare data, configure solutions, and prototype to meet customer success criteria.

• Address technical inquiries and respond to RfPs and RfIs.

• Tackle objections from architects, CISOs, and IT leadership.

• Collaborate with Account Executives from the qualification stage through to deal closure.

• Manage the handover from presales to delivery and remain the architectural contact during the implementation phase.

• Assist in post-go-live architecture evolution and identify expansion opportunities.

• Relay customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams.

• Create and maintain reusable presales assets, including demo environments, RfP answer libraries, PoC playbooks, scoping calculators, and SOW templates.

• Participate in retrospectives and feedback cycles.

• Enable Account Executives and partners in technical positioning and share best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical consulting, solution engineering, data science, data engineering, or software development.

• Experience in a client-facing technical sales or consulting role.

• Ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Consulting mindset coupled with effective workshop facilitation skills.

• Practical experience in building or deploying LLM/RAG solutions.

• Familiarity with embeddings, hybrid retrieval, prompt design, grounding, and permissions-aware enterprise search.

• Experience with taxonomies and knowledge graphs, or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch is advantageous.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data preparation and prototyping tasks.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and enterprise connectors such as SharePoint, Confluence, and databases.

• Knowledge of authentication protocols including OIDC, SAML, and Active Directory.

• Understanding of cloud environments, Kubernetes, and on-premises or air-gapped deployments.

• Capability to defend architectural decisions in front of a CISO.

• Preferred industry experience in Financial Services, Government, or Manufacturing.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Proficiency in additional languages is preferred, especially Chinese, Arabic, German, French, or Italian.

• A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.

• Must be based in the EU.
