Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer technical and engineering information regarding products, services, or equipment by addressing inquiries and requests.

• Provide technical sales assistance throughout the sales process, which includes identifying opportunities, promoting solutions based on technical advantages, and responding to RFIs and RFPs, as well as designing and sizing proposed solutions.

• Build and sustain relationships with customers and partners.

• Effectively and creatively resolve complex issues by utilizing professional concepts and aligning with company objectives.

• Deliver technical presentations that detail products and services to customers and potential clients.

• Work collaboratively with sales teams to comprehend customer needs and offer technical sales support.

• Execute proofs of concept with clearly defined scopes of work and success criteria.

• Impart knowledge to customers and partners through demonstrations and hands-on training sessions.

• Gather and document product feedback and enhancement requests for the Product Management team.

• Process orders by consulting with technical support staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer within the storage and/or cloud sectors.

• Excellent presentation and technical analysis capabilities.

• Willingness to travel overnight when necessary.

• Experience in storage technologies such as NAS, file systems, object storage, CIFS/SMB, and NFS.

• Background in deploying, securing, and managing file servers, as well as backup and archiving software.

• At least 2 years of experience with VMware, achieving Datacenter Virtualization Certification, or holding an AWS/Azure Certified Solution Architect designation.

• Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP and experience with protocols like HTTP, TLS, DNS, LDAP, and SAML v2.

• Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark.

• Proficient in Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server Platforms, including ADDS and DNS.

• Knowledgeable in Linux operating systems, including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.

• Practical experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions.

• Experienced in documentation tasks, including editing guides, sales presentations, network configuration diagrams, and asset management materials.
