Solutions Engineer, API Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical resource for Yelp account teams and partners.

• Oversee the complete API integration process from the onboarding phase to production launch.

• Assist partners in the setup and utilization of Yelp’s Leads API, Ads API, Conversions API, Reporting API, and Data Ingestion API.

• Manage the onboarding intake for integrations, including collecting platform details, coordinating test business setups, verifying account configurations, and aligning with internal stakeholders.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate integration challenges within technical environments.

• Monitor the health of partner integrations utilizing SQL and internal dashboards.

• Proactively identify adoption gaps, traffic anomalies, and performance concerns.

• Collaborate with GTM leadership to recognize technical opportunities, eliminate obstacles, and expedite API adoption.

• Bring recurring technical issues and client feedback to the attention of Yelp's product and engineering teams.

• Maintain and enhance internal documentation and integration playbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a comparable technical client-facing role.

• Practical experience in supporting API integrations.

• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API authentication patterns, rate limiting, webhooks, and common integration challenges.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Capability to collaborate effectively across sales, product, and engineering teams.

• Proven track record of managing multiple partner integrations concurrently.

• Comfortable in creating processes from the ground up.

• Familiarity with advertising or marketing APIs, especially those related to reporting, lead management, or campaign management.

• Exposure to middleware and no-code/low-code integration tools like Zapier or Workato.

• Comfortable working in a startup-like or rapidly growing environment.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot.

• Experience coding in or collaborating with teams using SQL, JavaScript, Python, or similar programming languages.

• Must reside in the United States.
