Senior Solution Architect – Azure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create deliverables for clients, such as high-level solution summaries, proposals, staffing models, Statements of Work, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.

• Simplify intricate cloud architectures into clear, commercially viable engagements.

• Lead the planning and scoping of workshops.

• Evaluate, mobilize, and carry out migrations of on-premises applications and legacy data centers to Azure.

• Develop strategies for cloud security, identity, and access management that align with regulatory and compliance standards.

• Promote infrastructure as code and establish automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and oversee the sales process from requirement gathering to delivery handoff.

• Manage the proposal approval process, coordinating cross-functional reviews and securing internal stakeholder sign-off.

• Ensure that client-facing deliverables adhere to Presidio's quality standards.

• Create and implement standardized methodologies for solution design, deployment, and optimization.

• Integrate industry-specific frameworks into solution methodologies.

• Grow the Solutions Architecture team within a specific industry vertical.

• Improve team expertise, standardize best practices, and provide high-quality technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, delivery, or similar customer-facing technical positions.

• Over 3 years of experience in delivering and selling consulting and advisory services for strategic solutions like IT strategy, Application Placement, and Cloud Governance.

• Extensive Azure expertise across core services.

• Strong working knowledge of container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Well-Architected principles.

• Excellent communication skills and executive presence when interacting with technical architects and C-suite stakeholders.

• Significant experience in cloud migration and modernization, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting strategies.

• Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, microservices, serverless, and event-driven Azure architectures.

• Experience with solution design methodologies and technical best practices.

• Advanced knowledge of Azure core services.

• Proficiency in the Azure Well-Architected Framework across all five pillars.

• Practical experience in designing multi-account, multi-region Azure architectures for enterprise settings.

• Background in architecting cloud migration strategies.

• Familiarity with Azure or third-party migration tools.

• Experience in developing Azure cost calculations and cost models for client estimates and proposals.

• Active Azure certification is highly preferred.
