This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Comprehend and articulate client data needs into concise, well-defined technical tasks.
• Design and construct scalable, maintainable data pipelines that encompass ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Create and manage dbt data models within BigQuery and Snowflake, overseeing schema evolution and version control.
• Contribute to shared automation and tools that facilitate quicker, more consistent issue resolution and connector delivery.
• Perform testing and data validation to ensure accuracy, performance, and compliance with client standards.
• Engage in peer reviews to guarantee quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
• Document the pipeline and transformation steps, including data lineage, mapping logic, and assumptions.
• Monitor, support, and maintain pipelines to ensure ongoing reliability.
• Refine solutions based on client feedback and changing requirements.
• Extensive experience with database technologies and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in Python for backend development and data processing.
• Strong grasp of data modeling techniques (3NF, Dimensional, etc.) and their practical applications.
• Practical experience with cloud data warehouse platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Familiarity with modern data transformation tools like dbt or Dataform.
• Experience with ELT/ETL frameworks and large-scale data ingestion pipelines.
• Working knowledge of data quality frameworks, error handling, logging, and observability practices.
• Effective and professional communication skills to manage expectations, clarify pipeline behavior, and resolve data discrepancies.
• Experience in creating data lineage diagrams and documenting pipelines.
• Capability to design and lead data architecture decisions, including schema evolution, pipeline orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong interpersonal skills to align stakeholders, handle ambiguity, and navigate changing client expectations.
• Bonus: Experience in real estate data domains such as property, leasing, tenant, transactions, and capital markets.
