Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with strategic customers to transform raw security data into high-level executive decisions.

• Work onsite with clients to comprehensively map security, risk, and compliance workflows.

• Collect requirements from both practitioners and executives while understanding dependencies related to people, processes, and data.

• Integrate SecurityScorecard into the existing data, logic, and processes of customers.

• Develop AI-native solutions utilizing LLMs, ML models, and contemporary AI tools.

• Conduct data analysis and data science on both customer and platform data, translating ratings into ALE, VaR, and ROI.

• Design and implement integrations, pipelines, and tools that connect SecurityScorecard with SIEM, GRC, ticketing, and data warehouse systems.

• Architect and deploy solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

• Rapidly prototype and refine solutions into reliable, production-quality software.

• Serve as a liaison between Product, Engineering, and customers while incorporating field patterns into the product roadmap.

• Maintain technical relationships with key accounts throughout renewal and expansion phases in collaboration with Customer Success and Sales Engineering.

• Travel to customer locations for workshops, technical deep dives, and support during go-live phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, particularly in a customer-facing, forward-deployed, or solutions engineering role.

• Practical experience in building AI applications, leveraging LLMs, agentic frameworks, or ML models as foundational elements in delivered solutions.

• Proven history of creating AI-driven products or features, along with a clear perspective on the impact of AI on forward-deployed work.

• Proficient in data analysis and data science, including risk quantification, benchmarking, and exposure modeling.

• Demonstrated ability to independently deliver production code in fast-paced, ambiguous, customer-facing settings.

• Strong fluency across the full stack: backend services, APIs, scripting, data pipelines, and integration patterns such as REST, webhooks, SSO/SAML, and SIEM connectors.

• Solid experience in architecture design across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Experience conducting discovery sessions with enterprise stakeholders, from practitioners to executive sponsors, and translating that into technical solutions.

• Excellent communication skills, adept at bridging technical details and business or financial implications.

• A proactive approach and comfort with ambiguity.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites, typically between 20 to 40% depending on account workload.

• Previous experience in cybersecurity, GRC, or risk management is highly desirable.
