Solutions Architect – OpenText xECM for SAP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and execute OpenText Extended ECM solutions that integrate seamlessly with SAP systems.

• Create unified views that connect structured data from SAP with unstructured content.

• Develop tailored OpenText ECM workspaces for areas such as procurement, employee records, and asset lifecycle management.

• Integrate Extended ECM with SAP through ArchiveLink, CMIS, SAP Fiori, APIs, and middleware.

• Formulate data and document archiving strategies suitable for SAP environments.

• Oversee content lifecycle management, including metadata, classification, governance, and compliance with records management standards.

• Implement automated workflows for processes like invoice management, HR onboarding, and engineering document control.

• Lead deployments in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, incorporating AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Utilize Java, JavaScript, or ABAP to create custom solutions and automate workflows.

• Integrate AI-driven features such as OpenText Content Aviator and SAP Joule.

• Direct the blueprinting, architecture, installation, configuration, testing, and delivery of SAP ECM projects.

• Manage the migration of legacy ECM data and ensure compatibility with SAP updates.

• Guide and mentor implementation teams and liaise with SAP Basis, developers, business analysts, and OpenText Professional Services.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess content management needs and enhance efficiency and compliance.

• Report directly to the Director of Delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• 5–10+ years of experience in enterprise content management, SAP integrations, or related sectors.

• Practical experience in implementing OpenText Extended ECM solutions for SAP.

• Extensive knowledge of OpenText Extended ECM and its integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Business Suite.

• Strong understanding of SAP ArchiveLink, CMIS, SAP Fiori, and strategies for data/document archiving.

• Proficient in best practices for content management, metadata handling, and compliance standards.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and hybrid deployments.

• Programming expertise in Java, JavaScript, ABAP, or low-code/no-code configurations within OpenText tools.

• Capability to design ECM solutions across various SAP business processes including finance, HR, procurement, and plant maintenance.

• Expertise in SAP processes such as FI, PM, PS, and MM.

• Strong familiarity with OpenText Fastrack or comparable implementation frameworks.

• OpenText and SAP certifications are highly preferred.
