This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage multiple customer solution design projects simultaneously
• Perform business and technical discovery sessions with clients
• Create innovative solutions, architectures, and use cases to assist customers in achieving their goals
• Offer strong recommendations for engagements while pinpointing essential dependencies and gaps
• Present proposals to senior officials in government
• Continuously enhance the team's knowledge, methodologies, and repository of solution design blueprints
• Lead solution design across DHS platforms, including Microsoft, ServiceNow, modern frameworks, and Drupal
• Develop target and reference architectures
• Ensure compliance, scalability, and reusability of solutions
• Establish standards for interface, quality assurance, performance, and cost-benefit analysis for information systems
• Evaluate available technologies and recommend the most effective options
• Oversee projects from ideation through to deployment
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to determine optimal solutions
• Assist in application analysis, architectural design, engineering, development, maintenance, and operations for the DHS program
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8 years of experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of information systems architecture
• 7 years of experience in software development
• Microsoft Certification in Azure Cloud is required
• ServiceNow Architect Certification is preferred
• Must be a US Citizen
• Capability to successfully complete a government-issued background investigation
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust
• Previous Public Trust or Security Clearance is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical and programmatic subjects to a diverse audience
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable plans
• Capacity to inspire and lead technical teams
• Ability to foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Experience in a high-caliber technical consulting or software development environment
• Proficiency in independently applying engineering principles for the planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and support of information systems architectures
