Solutions Architect – Network & Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Act as a trusted advisor for SHI in the areas of networking and network security.

• Provide implementation services that encompass design, architecture analysis, deployment, troubleshooting, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and network engineering.

• Collaborate with leadership to formulate strategies and develop technical roadmaps for future networking and security services.

• Function as the technical lead and subject matter expert for customer projects and workshops.

• Gather, create, and revise deployment and design documentation.

• Enhance and refine Network & Security service offerings.

• Guide technical sales teams, aid in opportunity discovery, define customer solutions and engagements, and support sales enablement efforts.

• Assist sales and pre-sales teams in recognizing and securing opportunities through customer meetings and presentations.

• Identify, create, and document best practices and recommendations.

• Convey findings and recommendations to both technical and executive customer stakeholders.

• Promote SHI Network & Security service offerings throughout SHI and its partner community via webinars, meetups, and conferences.

• Generate reports, lessons learned, presentations, and supporting documentation.

• Stay updated on technology, trends, and market behaviors.

• Achieve relevant technical certifications as outlined by professional development plans and leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Technical degree, or equivalent work experience in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 5-7 years of technical experience with increasing levels of responsibility.

• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in consulting, designing, implementing, and integrating Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, and other networking technologies.

• Combined experience in roles such as Network Consultant, Operations, and Administration.

• Strong expertise in cloud architecture utilizing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Comprehensive understanding of microservices, APIs, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficient in solution design encompassing enterprise systems, integration platforms, and data layers.

• Solid background in system security, data privacy, and compliance.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.

• Proficient in Agile and DevOps methodologies.

• Expertise in designing, implementing, and configuring networking and security solutions for Cisco, Palo Alto, and cloud environments.

• Ability to translate intricate technical concepts into straightforward, business-friendly language.

• Exceptional problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Willingness to travel to client locations upon reasonable request.

• Preferred certifications include Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, AWS/Azure cloud networking certifications, or Palo Alto PCNSE.
