Solutions Architect, Manager – Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee various high-impact projects that bolster strategic sales initiatives within the public sector.

• Supervise Solutions Architects by facilitating hiring, mentoring, providing feedback, and ensuring retention.

• Direct technical assessments and validation processes to meet customer business and technical needs.

• Partner with regional sales managers on account strategies and collaborate with cross-functional leaders on intricate opportunities.

• Enhance team practices and execution strategies in collaboration with Solutions Architect leadership and other departments.

• Articulate GitLab’s vision, strategy, and values for application in daily team operations.

• Monitor team performance through key performance indicators, providing updates to peers and leadership.

• Serve as a Solutions Architect on selected projects to facilitate customer success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold U.S. citizenship.

• 3-5 years of experience in the Public Sector.

• A minimum of 2 years leading high-performing teams, preferably in a global or remote setting.

• Proven experience managing teams with a focus on execution, coaching, and performance oversight.

• Background in technical pre-sales or a related IT role that supports customer-facing solution design.

• Familiarity with contemporary software development or operational practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

• Understanding of cloud computing technologies and practices that facilitate secure, scalable adoption.

• Capability to mentor peers and both provide and receive constructive feedback.

• Experience collaborating with managers and cross-functional partners to devise and implement shared strategies.

• Experience in supporting public sector clients and comprehending regulated or mission-driven environments.

• Willingness to apply transferable leadership and technical expertise from related fields.
