This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Address customer product inquiries via phone or email communications.
• Resolve customer issues related to installation, operation, maintenance, product application, or compatibility concerns.
• Diagnose hardware and software issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Record customer interactions and recurring technical problems to enhance product quality initiatives and support product development.
• Provide support for all Arista products along with network protocols and features governed by EOS.
• Engage directly with customers and collaborate with software and hardware development teams as necessary.
• Replicate issues within a controlled lab environment.
• Partner with Customer Engineering and Software and Hardware development teams to identify and convey issues in various technical scenarios.
• A minimum of 1–5 years of practical experience in designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, debugging, or managing network protocols and technologies.
• Familiarity with the networking industry, including products and protocols.
• Experience with AAA/TACACS, ACL, ARP, BGP, DHCP, Ethernet, Flow Control, ICMP, IGMP, IPv4/IPv6, LACP, LLDP, MPLS, NAT, OpenFlow, OSPF, PIM, QoS, RIP, sFlow, SNMP, STP/RSTP/MST, VARP/VRRP, VLAN, and VRF.
• Proficiency with troubleshooting tools like IXIA, tcpdump, and Wireshark or similar tools is highly desirable.
• Strong familiarity with Linux is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, or shell scripting is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and triage skills.
• High ability to learn quickly and teach others.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Collaborative mindset.
• Minimum educational requirement is a Master’s degree in a technical field; CS/EE/ITP preferred.
• Industry certifications are preferred.
• Previous TAC experience is preferred.
