This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Interact with clients to grasp their needs and recommend suitable solution architectures.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure the alignment of client requirements with solution design.
• Partner with Delivery Managers to oversee the architectural strategy during the deployment of solutions.
• Investigate possibilities and innovative alternatives to pinpoint the most effective solutions.
• Confirm that the designed solutions are implemented per client expectations and company standards.
• Aid in identifying, specifying, and selecting off-the-shelf components to satisfy client requirements.
• Offer continuous support and guidance to clients throughout the implementation process.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance solutions continuously.
• Provide design and delivery expertise for future-oriented solutions within a modern cloud-based insurance landscape.
• Engage directly with clients, assess their needs, create customized solutions, and support business initiatives that align with defined roadmaps.
• Design technology-agnostic solutions focusing on AWS and/or GCP, alongside open-source, PaaS, and SaaS components.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in solution architecture design and delivery roles specifically within the insurance sector, with exposure to various lines of business.
• Proven experience in delivering cloud-based technology product solutions in an enterprise setting.
• Capable of assisting in the definition and communication of a product/enterprise roadmap.
• Proficient in translating client requirements into actionable steps and solution architectures.
• Familiarity with business architecture models and patterns.
• Experience in designing and implementing innovative and creative solutions for business challenges.
• Knowledge of optimal approaches for cloud-based applications that require high availability and scalability.
• Experienced in crafting solutions within both Relational DB and NoSQL environments.
• Skilled in designing for API and microservices-centric environments.
• Demonstrated ability to self-learn and adapt to new technological trends and methodologies.
• Ideally possesses experience or knowledge of the advantages of low-code platforms.
• Familiarity with multiple programming languages and various database engines is beneficial.
• Exposure to authentication and authorization concepts (SSO, SAML integration, identity federation, etc.).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities to comprehend and gather business requirements from corporate clients.
• Proficient in building value propositions, solution documentation, and, when necessary, business cases for corporate clients.
• Experience in relationship management with corporate clients.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with an ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong decision-making and judgment skills.
• Understanding of insurance business processes across all areas, with expertise in at least two lines of business.
• Maintains focus and direction through proactive planning and organized work approaches.
• Certification in one architecture discipline (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.) is a notable advantage.
• Certification in a cloud environment is a distinct advantage, along with broad knowledge and experience of the cloud platform’s capabilities.
