Solutions Architect – Games

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete technical strategy for accounts, from initial discovery to production deployment and growth in consumption.

• Facilitate intricate architecture discussions aimed at creating scalable solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.

• Provide guidance to customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.

• Achieve technical victories in competitive scenarios by showcasing custom-built solutions that highlight Databricks’ unique advantages.

• Establish and declare an emerging technical specialization, becoming a resource for the team in that specific area.

• Coordinate with DSAs, SSAs, and partners to deliver all-encompassing customer solutions.

• Offer structured feedback on customer needs and competitive gaps to help steer product direction.

• Complete stages involving recruiters, hiring managers, design and architecture, live coding, build/demo/pitch, and reference checks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical position.

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in live coding, debugging, and building solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of distributed data systems architecture, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.

• Familiarity with the Databricks Platform or the capacity to quickly gain proficiency.

• Development of technical specialization in a specific area, such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations.

• Capability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders, including whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analyses.

• Experience with production deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, covering aspects like infrastructure, security, and governance.

• Proven history of promoting platform adoption and increasing consumption within accounts.

• Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex architectures in terms of business value.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field, or equivalent experience.

• Databricks certifications are advantageous.

• Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse is a plus.

• Background in a data/AI company or cloud provider is preferred.

• Industry domain expertise is a plus.
