This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Take ownership of the complete technical strategy for accounts, from initial discovery to production deployment and growth in consumption.
β’ Lead intricate architectural discussions and design scalable, production-grade solutions encompassing data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
β’ Act as a reliable technical advisor for customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.
β’ Achieve technical victories in competitive situations through tailored solutions.
β’ Establish and declare a developing technical specialization, becoming a key resource for the team.
β’ Coordinate cross-functional resources, including DSAs, SSAs, and partners.
β’ Shape product direction by providing structured feedback on customer needs and competitive gaps.
β’ 6+ years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical position.
β’ Strong coding skills in Python and SQL, including live coding, debugging, and solution development.
β’ Extensive knowledge of distributed data systems architecture, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
β’ Proficient in the Databricks Platform or the ability to quickly gain proficiency.
β’ Developing technical specialization in areas such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations.
β’ Capability to lead architectural discussions with senior technical stakeholders, including whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analysis.
β’ Experience with production deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, encompassing infrastructure, security, and governance.
β’ Proven track record of driving platform adoption and growth in consumption within accounts.
β’ Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex architectures into business value.
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
β’ Desired: familiarity with healthcare data standards and compliance frameworks.
β’ Desired: experience with pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or medical device companies.
β’ Databricks certifications are a plus.
β’ Experience with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse is a plus.
β’ Background in a data/AI company or cloud provider is advantageous.
β’ Industry domain expertise is a plus.
