Solutions Architect – Data Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and direct the technical execution of the organization's enterprise data strategy focused on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that facilitate analytics, AI, machine learning, and operational reporting.

• Provide strategic insight and leadership in enterprise-wide solution architecture.

• Implement architecture design, enhancements, and execution from the initial design phase through to the completion of products and features.

• Oversee solution and system architecture across various products or systems.

• Convert requirements into effective solution architecture and design.

• Engage in cross-architecture reviews and ensure all integration requirements are met.

• Create and maintain documentation and standards for architectural solutions and frameworks.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

• Conduct architecture reviews to ensure that automation designs comply with security, compliance, and performance standards.

• Collaborate with multifunctional business stakeholders to convert requirements into automated, scalable technical solutions.

• Monitor the health of the environment, identify failure patterns, and promote continuous improvement across the data ecosystem.

• Assess emerging data technologies, tools, and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in enterprise IT operations, systems engineering, or infrastructure architecture.

• Proven experience in designing enterprise-scale solutions that encompass multiple applications, data sources, and technology platforms.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet, and Chef.

• Experience in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

• Experience in designing cloud-based data solutions, ideally within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage/ADLS, Azure networking, identity and access management, Key Vault, and related services.

• Background in designing and implementing an enterprise data platform using Databricks or an equivalent modern cloud data platform.

• Experience in designing data architectures that support enterprise BI and analytics, preferably including Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

• Understanding of on-premises infrastructure, including Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, and security infrastructure.

• Knowledge of DevOps and agile methodologies.

• Experience with identity and access management automation, including AD integration and role-based access control provisioning.

• Proficiency in cost management and optimization strategies for cloud-based capacity workloads.

• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent are advantageous.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to influence both technical and non-technical collaborators and mentor junior engineers.
