This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and architect comprehensive data integration solutions that encompass Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure services, and downstream reporting platforms.
• Develop and sustain scalable, reusable, and observable integration architectures that comply with data governance standards.
• Convert business and analytical requirements into technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and implementation strategies.
• Establish integration patterns, naming conventions, branching strategies, and deployment standards.
• Assess Azure-native PaaS, Snowflake features, and Fabric capabilities, and provide recommendations for optimal solutions.
• Construct, configure, and maintain data pipelines and orchestration workflows across Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Blob Storage, and enterprise systems.
• Develop and manage Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and similar automation mechanisms.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and pipeline-as-code practices utilizing Azure DevOps, Git, Bicep, ARM, or equivalent tools.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake objects, Fabric datasets, Power BI reports, and Azure integration resources.
• Design and execute data models, transformations, and quality checks within Snowflake and Fabric.
• Create reusable Python or PowerShell automation scripts and utilities.
• Collaborate with data and analytics teams to produce Power BI and Fabric dashboards.
• Enhance data models and dataset refresh strategies to improve dashboard performance and reduce infrastructure costs.
• Diagnose data discrepancies, pipeline failures, and dashboard issues.
• Define and maintain documentation for data lineage.
• Monitor integration pipelines, Snowflake tasks and streams, Fabric data flows, and Azure Logic App executions.
• Establish alerting, logging, and observability practices.
• Investigate and resolve integration-stack problems, documenting root causes and solutions.
• Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for data platform challenges.
• Ensure that integration patterns and data flows comply with HIPAA requirements and organizational security protocols.
• Work alongside application development teams to address data integration needs.
• Manage Git repositories and enforce branching strategies, pull request reviews, and deployment gates.
• Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, pipeline diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Apply platform updates, SDK enhancements, and dependency patches.
• Conduct cost and performance assessments for capacity planning and cloud expenditure optimization.
• Act as the primary technical owner of data integration and analytics infrastructure that supports Sound Physicians’ enterprise reporting and decision-making.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, or cloud platform engineering roles.
• Proven experience in building and managing production integration pipelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling, tasks, streams, dynamic tables, Snowpark, cost governance, and cross-platform integration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, covering Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Semantic Models, and capacity operations.
• Knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, DirectQuery/Import optimization, deployment pipelines, and gateway management.
• Expertise in Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, API Management, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, including YAML Pipelines, Repos, Boards, and release gate configuration.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Data 360 and Salesforce Data APIs.
• Experience in infrastructure-as-code and automation using Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting and CI/CD tools.
• Git source control experience, including branching strategies, pull request workflows, and repository governance.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS, including Virtual Networks, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, including service principals, managed identities, conditional access, and app registrations.
• Experience supporting data environments for over 1,000 users across various business domains.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum or similar delivery methodologies.
• Experience translating unclear business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Ability to convey technical concepts, data flow logic, and platform recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate — Preferred.
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate — Preferred.
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends occasionally, sometimes with limited prior notice.
• Capability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods, with regular breaks.
• Full-time contract position available through December 2026, with the possibility of extension.
• Opportunity for remote work.
• Travel: 0–4 trips per year.
