Solutions Architect – BIG-IP Next for Kubernetes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead the architectural strategy and solution design for enterprise Kubernetes, high-performance networking, and AI workload ingress/egress initiatives.

• Collaborate with a Principal Account Executive to assess opportunities, implement technical win strategies, and align F5 capabilities with executive business cases.

• Engage directly with CTOs, Chief Architects, and Platform Engineering leaders within hyper-scale Neoclouds and AI Native organizations.

• Facilitate technical discovery, architecture workshops, demonstrations, and intricate Proof of Concepts in high-throughput settings.

• Design solutions utilizing advanced networking, NVIDIA DOCA, and hardware-accelerated traffic management.

• Develop reusable AI Factory reference architectures, technical playbooks, and best practices for DPU-resident service layers.

• Represent Neocloud market trends and customer needs to the F5 Product and Engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical positions.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge in Kubernetes, container orchestration, cloud-native networking (CNIs), and application delivery.

• Experience in architecting large-scale cloud infrastructure, especially in high-performance computing (HPC) or AI data center environments.

• Advanced understanding of Layer 2-7 networking, which includes BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN.

• Familiarity with hardware acceleration technologies, including SmartNICs and DPUs such as NVIDIA BlueField.

• Demonstrated ability to engage, challenge, and influence technical stakeholders effectively.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative problem-solving skills.

• In-depth expertise in Kubernetes edge networking, security, and multi-tenant isolation.

• Capability to design and articulate complex physical-to-logical network architectures, including eSwitch hardware offload and SR-IOV.

• Technical acumen in AI infrastructure, GPU optimization, and next-generation data center design.
