Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Architect and oversee the framework associated with Adobe Commerce.

• Serve as the technical liaison to technology leadership during solution-making processes.

• Conduct a technical evaluation of the integration layer and design the target architecture during the discovery phase.

• Outline the complete integration architecture and pinpoint essential dependencies.

• Evaluate queues, duplication issues, and capacity constraints.

• Establish governance frameworks utilizing rate limiting, circuit breakers, and SLA-based prioritization.

• Define a comprehensive correlation identifier and API products with specific contracts.

• Determine what functionalities should be extracted from the core as a satellite service.

• Estimate project workstreams regarding effort and team structures.

• Design the integration layer in collaboration with SAP BTP, Solace, and Backend for Frontend (BFF) technologies.

• Establish versioned API contracts with a structured approach to deprecation.

• Define strategies for load control, rate limiting, and circuit breaking.

• Specify SKU and file normalization and validation processes prior to execution.

• Develop satellite services and maintain standards for extracting functionality from the core system.

• Integrate correlation with observability and Adobe Commerce workflows.

• Identify and evaluate new projects based on analytical findings.

• Assist technical leadership in solution decisions, documenting these in Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Solutions Architect or Integration Architect.

• Over 5 years in IT, with at least 3 years focused on architecture.

• Proven experience in designing target architectures within complex environments.

• Knowledge of integration and messaging architecture: including queues, pub/sub, idempotency, deduplication, retries, dead-letter queues, and backpressure.

• Familiarity with resilience patterns such as rate limiting, circuit breakers, bulkheads, and SLA-based prioritization.

• Proficient in API and contract design using REST and OpenAPI; GraphQL is an added advantage.

• Experience with API versioning, deprecation, and product-oriented API governance.

• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP (Integration Suite / CPI, API Management) applied to real-world integration scenarios.

• Understanding of large-scale B2B commerce, including distributor management, catalog systems, customer-specific pricing, credit processes, and handling high-volume orders.

• Familiarity with Adobe Commerce (Magento 2), covering APIs, internal queues, indexing, load limits, and extension points.

• Knowledge of distributed observability, including correlation IDs, tracing, and integration metrics.

• Capability to estimate project requirements in terms of effort and team composition.

• Experience collaborating with both technical and business leadership teams.

• Desirable: Experience with Solace PubSub+ or similar brokers; Adobe Commerce Cloud; BFF; monolith decomposition; integrations with PIMs, payment gateways, and credit platforms; conversational channels; OpenTelemetry, New Relic, or equivalent APM; SAP BTP, Adobe Commerce Architect, TOGAF, or cloud certifications; consulting or diagnostic and restructuring projects.
