Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical and solution discovery process with both prospective and current external customers.

• Convert customer goals, program requirements, and business needs into precise solution designs.

• Direct customers and internal teams towards solutions utilizing existing platform capabilities while pinpointing areas where new functionalities may be necessary.

• Collaborate with Business Development and commercial stakeholders for technical presentations, platform discussions, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and feasibility assessments.

• Offer technical insights during proposal development, scoping, and contracting processes.

• Recognize technical risks, gaps, and dependencies early in the solution design phase.

• Assess solution designs and the technical aspects of statements of work and contracts regarding feasibility, dependencies, assumptions, and delivery implications.

• Cultivate expertise in Evidation’s platforms, tools, integrations, and configuration options.

• Analyze proposed solutions for their feasibility, scalability, security, and operational impact.

• Convert customer and business needs into technical specifications for Product and Engineering teams.

• Maintain solution context from design and contracting through to implementation.

• Configure or assist in the configuration of platform solutions, integrations, APIs, webhooks, data transfers, SSO, and OIDC.

• Work with Delivery, Product, and Engineering teams to address technical issues and ensure solutions are implemented as intended.

• Provide technical direction on implementation plans, configuration decisions, change requests, QA, UAT, and release readiness.

• Enhance internal knowledge of platform configuration and implementation processes.

• Balance the delivery of existing and legacy solutions with improved tools and implementation methodologies.

• Identify recurring customer and implementation needs while aiding in the development of AI-enabled automation.

• Create reusable solution patterns, standards, playbooks, and configuration guidance.

• Connect customers, Business Development, Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Delivery teams; translate feedback into product priorities while navigating complex cross-functional initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical consulting, implementation, or a similar customer-facing role supporting SaaS or platform products.

• Proven experience in designing technical solutions based on complex customer and business requirements.

• Strong knowledge of integrations, APIs, webhooks, data flows, and identity and authentication technologies such as SSO and OIDC.

• Ability to effectively translate between business, customer, product, and engineering stakeholders.

• Experience in evaluating technical feasibility, defining solution requirements, and identifying risks and dependencies.

• Capable of understanding complex platform capabilities and guiding stakeholders toward scalable, supportable solutions.

• Experience in supporting solutions throughout both pre-sales design and post-sales implementation phases.

• Familiarity with using AI-assisted tools and identifying opportunities for automating technical or operational workflows.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the aptitude to present effectively to both technical and executive audiences.

• Strong skills in building cross-functional relationships and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

• Experience in regulated contexts such as ISO 27001 or 21 CFR Part 11, or the ability to rapidly acquire that knowledge.

• Preferred: experience in healthcare, life sciences, digital health, or clinical research.

• Preferred: experience in designing solutions for pharmaceutical or clinical research clients.

• Preferred: hands-on experience in configuring SaaS platforms and third-party software.

• Preferred: experience in formalizing reusable solution architectures, implementation playbooks, or configuration standards.

• Preferred: experience collaborating with Product and Engineering to enhance platform capabilities based on customer and implementation needs.

• Preferred: familiarity with AI-enabled or agentic approaches to solution configuration, implementation, or workflow automation.
