Solution Engineer – ServiceNow, Armis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist in the planning, installation, configuration, validation, and ongoing support of Armis deployments.

• Support site surveys, deployment documentation, collector placement, connectivity validation, and network troubleshooting.

• Configure Armis settings, including asset classifications, dashboards, reports, policies, alerting logic, exposure views, and workflows.

• Validate asset discovery, classification, enrichment, and coverage across IT, OT, IoT, IoMT, cloud, and connected environments.

• Optimize Armis configurations to enhance asset context and minimize unnecessary alerts.

• Troubleshoot issues related to collectors, connectivity, data collection, asset visibility, classifications, policies, dashboards, and integrations.

• Set up integrations between Armis, ServiceNow, and third-party security and enterprise platforms.

• Align Armis asset intelligence with ServiceNow data models, CI classes, ownership models, reconciliation processes, and security workflows.

• Provide support for ServiceNow USEM and ServiceNow Otto implementations utilizing Armis data.

• Assist with Armis use cases across ServiceNow CMDB, ITSM, ITOM, Security Operations, Vulnerability Response, Security Incident Response, and Integrated Risk Management.

• Configure workflows, forms, dashboards, reports, notifications, business rules, scripts, and automation within ServiceNow.

• Enhance orchestration capabilities using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, APIs, and other platform features.

• Support data normalization, identification, reconciliation, enrichment, and quality validation processes.

• Develop scripts and controlled platform extensions when standard configuration options are inadequate.

• Engage in discovery sessions, requirements workshops, design discussions, and technical reviews.

• Translate requirements into implementation tasks, configuration activities, test cases, and documentation.

• Create and execute unit, system, integration, regression, and deployment-validation testing.

• Support user acceptance testing, production deployments, stabilization, and post-production assistance.

• Generate deployment diagrams, configuration documents, integration specifications, operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, and training materials.

• Adhere to SDLC and Agile methodologies; identify and communicate technical risks, dependencies, defects, and scope issues.

• Build relationships with clients and Templar Shield technical teams.

• Communicate technical challenges, implementation decisions, and recommendations to both business and technical stakeholders.

• Assist with solution demonstrations, knowledge-transfer sessions, client training, estimates, and proposals.

• Stay informed about Armis capabilities, ServiceNow enhancements, and cybersecurity practices.

• Contribute to reusable technical documentation, implementation templates, and practice materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• One to three years of experience in implementation engineering, professional services, cybersecurity consulting, security engineering, network engineering, infrastructure engineering, ServiceNow delivery, or a similar technical role.

• At least one year of experience working with ServiceNow, Armis, or a comparable enterprise security, asset management, vulnerability management, or security operations platform.

• Practical experience supporting technical implementations, platform configurations, integrations, testing, troubleshooting, or production deployments.

• Familiarity with enterprise networking, cybersecurity operations, asset management, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.

• Experience with APIs and integration technologies, including REST, JSON, authentication, certificates, and SSL/TLS.

• Understanding of virtual appliances, collector deployment, log review, connectivity testing, certificate management, and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.

• Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions and the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capacity to manage multiple assignments, document decisions, adhere to established delivery processes, and drive assigned tasks to completion.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

• Willingness to travel up to 50 percent based on client and project requirements.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with Armis Centrix and ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM, Service Graph Connectors, ITSM, ITOM, Security Operations, Vulnerability Response, Security Incident Response, or Integrated Risk Management.

• Preferred: experience with operational technology, IoT, IoMT, healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, energy, transportation, telecommunications, or critical infrastructure environments.

• Preferred: knowledge of CMDB data quality, configuration item reconciliation, asset normalization, ownership models, and operational governance.

• Preferred: experience in regulated environments with formal change controls, audit requirements, security documentation, and operational constraints.

• Preferred: basic Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

• Preferred: ServiceNow or Armis certifications/training, or cybersecurity/networking certifications such as Security+, GICSP, CCNA, or comparable credentials.
