Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery sessions and infrastructure evaluations with both prospective and existing clients.

• Design and propose solutions for networking, security, servers, cloud, and overall infrastructure.

• Create technical diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), project scopes, and statements of work (SOWs).

• Develop project plans and estimates for professional services labor.

• Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Engineering teams to provide practical and sustainable solutions.

• Present technical recommendations and effectively communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Act as a technical resource during the pre-sales phase.

• Assess current infrastructure and develop tailored solution designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, technical consulting, solutions architecture, or a similar field.

• In-depth knowledge of networking, including switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, and network security.

• Familiarity with Windows Server, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery processes.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

• Proven ability in developing technical designs, project scopes, statements of work (SOWs), and labor estimates.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Previous experience in MSP or IT consulting is an advantage.
