Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate sales expansion by collaborating closely with the Americas NEM and Lab teams to enhance EXFO's high-speed test solutions.

• Serve as a high-speed transmission technology authority for EXFO at industry events and onsite locations.

• Deliver pre-sales assistance to the NEM and Lab customer base through online or in-person demonstrations, presentations, evaluation support, and technical reviews.

• Assist with trade shows, conferences, and customer demonstrations that emphasize technical product applications.

• Engage in field evaluations to guarantee customers receive proper training and guidance on EXFO testing solutions.

• Collaborate with the Business Unit and Marketing to provide current product information to the market.

• Supply the Business Unit with competitive insights and feature requests gathered from the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preference for candidates located in the Western region of the United States, although other locations may be considered based on candidate qualifications.

• Strong understanding of high-speed transmission testing, including switches, transceivers, CPO, and NPO technology.

• Proficient in communications technologies, particularly high-speed transceivers, CPO, and NPO.

• Knowledgeable in testing and characterization of optical and high-speed components utilizing bit-error rate test equipment, optical and electrical scopes, and tools for validating Ethernet, OTN, Fibre Channel, and other protocols.

• Experience with optical layer testing (OSA, OTDR, VOA, etc.) is advantageous.

• Technical capability to comprehend customer use cases and effectively position EXFO solutions.

• Self-motivated individual with the ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

• Independent, well-organized, results-driven, and capable of meeting deadlines.

• Possesses leadership qualities along with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• At least three years of experience with high-speed communications test equipment or a related field.

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

• Degree in Telecommunications, Optics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Willingness to travel approximately 25%-50% of the time.
