This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design, architect, and continuously enhance intricate data center and infrastructure frameworks with an emphasis on availability, security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop target architectures and formulate technical solutions and migration strategies for data center modernization, consolidation, and transformation initiatives.
• Analyze current IT infrastructures and provide architecture and optimization recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain architectural concepts, technical designs, and documentation for infrastructure and operations.
• Model and document solution architectures utilizing ARIS and Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA).
• Advise clients, business units, and project teams on complex data center and infrastructure endeavors.
• Design and integrate Microsoft infrastructures, particularly Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Develop migration and transformation strategies while considering business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
• Conduct architecture reviews and uphold technical standards, governance requirements, and best practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud, and security architects.
• Assist in the selection and evaluation of new technologies and provide actionable recommendations.
• Offer technical support during implementation and assist in testing, acceptance, and commissioning phases.
• Present and align architectural concepts with clients, project teams, and management.
• Aid in technical decision-making processes.
• Demonstrated experience in the architecture and design of complex data center and IT infrastructures.
• Extensive background in creating, assessing, and evolving architecture concepts for data center, infrastructure, and platform solutions.
• Proficient in technical architecture, design, and operational documentation aligned with established architecture and governance standards.
• Strong expertise in architecture modeling and documentation using ARIS and Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA).
• Solid understanding of Microsoft infrastructures, including Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, and Microsoft-based data center and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience in developing target architectures and evaluating and optimizing existing IT and data center landscapes.
• Strong grasp of enterprise architecture and infrastructure governance.
• Familiarity with the integration of modern data center and cloud technologies.
• Cloud experience with VCF, GDC, and OpenStack.
• Experience with containerization.
• Background in the public sector and/or with the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) is a plus.
• Desirable qualifications include TOGAF, Microsoft, and other relevant professional certifications.
