Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the complete architecture for projects in the Core & Integrations vertical.

• Convert business and non-functional requirements into scalable, resilient, and maintainable solutions.

• Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to choose technologies, integration patterns, and implementation strategies.

• Design services, APIs, integration flows, data models, and technical components.

• Establish and validate non-functional requirements related to performance, scalability, availability, security, observability, and disaster recovery.

• Guide development teams during implementation and assist with critical technical decisions.

• Identify and address technical risks, dependencies, and architectural limitations.

• Contribute to estimations, feasibility studies, proof-of-concepts, vendor assessments, and technology evaluations.

• Advocate for the reuse of platforms, services, components, and integration assets.

• Collaborate with architects, technical leads, and engineering teams to ensure consistency and quality in solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in designing and delivering enterprise-level integration solutions.

• Proficiency in Java and/or .NET ecosystems within complex environments.

• Hands-on experience in architecture that connects business needs with technical implementation.

• Proficient in AI-assisted engineering practices, such as Microsoft Copilot and similar tools.

• Expertise in Solution Architecture.

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).

• Experience with Microservices Architecture.

• Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

• API-First Design competence.

• Ability to create architecture documentation, conduct reviews, maintain decision records (ADR), and utilize the C4 Model or alternatives.

• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Proficient in REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL, asynchronous messaging, Apache Kafka, event streaming, CDC, SOAP/WSDL.

• Knowledge in API and event contract design, enterprise integration patterns, API gateway patterns, and anti-corruption layers.

• Skills in .NET/C# and/or Java/Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with OpenShift/Kubernetes and Docker.

• Experience in CI/CD using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.

• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including Oracle and SQL Server.

• Familiarity with NoSQL technologies, such as Redis and Elasticsearch.

• Understanding of IIS reliability, security, and observability.

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, logging, and monitoring.

• Knowledge of resilience patterns including circuit breaker, retry, bulkhead, and timeout.

• Expertise in OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect, JWT, and API security.

• Proficient in Microsoft Copilot and generative AI productivity tools.

• Skills in prompt engineering.

• Experience in AI-assisted architecture, design, development, and code review.

• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

• Understanding of responsible AI fundamentals.

• Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, requirements analysis, technical mentoring, and coaching skills.
