Solution Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Engage with customers at an early stage to identify mission requirements, business challenges, and transformation objectives.

• Formulate compelling, deliverable, and unique solution strategies for significant public sector initiatives.

• Oversee the solution development process from initial qualification through to proposal, presentations, and transition to delivery.

• Craft solution narratives, value propositions, winning themes, and architectural differentiators.

• Conduct discovery workshops, architecture evaluations, and solution design sessions.

• Convert intricate customer issues into practical solutions across Data & Analytics, Cloud, Cyber Security, AI/ML, IT Service Management, Systems Integration, and Digital Modernization.

• Evaluate solution feasibility, delivery risks, commercial viability, and strategic alignment during the qualification phase.

• Collaborate with delivery and program teams to guarantee that proposed solutions are credible, cost-effective, and feasible.

• Represent the solution in client meetings, executive briefings, bid reviews, and presentations.

• Contribute reusable solution patterns, proposal materials, and thought leadership insights.

• Assist in the transition from growth to delivery to ensure commitments, risks, and design intent are clearly understood.

• Transition between accounts, opportunities, and sectors based on business priorities.

• Support client meetings, Leidos workshops, and various pursuit activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working with UK Central Government departments, agencies, or arm's-length bodies.

• Insight into how UK public sector clients procure, govern, and implement complex digital transformation initiatives.

• Experience with organizations such as HMRC, DWP, Defra, GDS, Cabinet Office, or similar entities.

• Background in supporting competitive procurements, frameworks, bids, proposals, or capture initiatives.

• Cloud or architecture certifications like Azure, AWS, or TOGAF are advantageous but should not replace relevant experience.

• Capability to instill confidence in clients, enhance capture strategies, and strengthen major bids.

• Evidence of personal contributions to winning, shaping, or significantly enhancing strategic opportunities.

• Understanding of balancing customer outcomes, technical quality, delivery risk, and commercial competitiveness.

• Excellent workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive engagement abilities.

• Current and valid UK Security Check (SC) clearance.

• Extensive experience in the UK with a track record of developing successful solutions for UK Government contracts.

• Proficiency in writing clearly and contributing high-quality bid, proposal, and presentation materials.

• Ability to effectively coordinate specialists.

• Experience in consulting, systems integration, managed services, or complex technology delivery environments would be beneficial.

• Familiarity with public sector procurement frameworks and competitive bidding processes would be an asset.

• Knowledge of AI-enabled transformation, data-driven services, and platform modernization would be advantageous.

• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK, with occasional travel to the United States.
