This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate as part of a Property Recoveries team in a primarily claimant-focused position.
• Conduct property recovery tasks, including investigative work across fast track and intermediate track claims.
• Examine liability on recovery claims resulting from incidents such as water escape, flooding, impact, and fire damage.
• Oversee a portfolio of pre-litigated and litigated property recovery claims typically valued between £10,000 and £100,000.
• Negotiate the amount and settlement of damages with third parties.
• Gather witness statements and essential documentation.
• Compose letters of claim and initiate legal proceedings.
• Handle disclosure, engage Counsel and experts, and advance claims through trial.
• Assist with larger and more intricate litigated cases.
• Contribute to marketing, networking, and business development initiatives.
• Manage confidential information in compliance with data security protocols.
• Adhere to client and internal billing and credit control guidelines.
• Ensure robust financial management of files.
• Meet key performance indicators, including an annual target of at least 1,440 chargeable hours.
• Engage in client-facing activities to help enhance the business and professional profile.
• 0-4 years of PQE as a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer.
• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with Litigation Rights, or significant pre-qualification experience.
• Keen interest in developing expertise in insurance property damage recoveries and the foundational principles of contract and tort law.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and colleagues.
• Capacity to analyze factual evidence, identify critical legal issues, and apply effective legal reasoning.
