This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Diagnose and repair utility-scale solar systems, encompassing inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits.
• Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and infrared scans.
• Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Conduct operations and maintenance on utility-scale solar facilities.
• Review completed work to guarantee quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E safety protocols on-site.
• Identify and rectify system issues directly in the field.
• Finalize work orders, service logs, and all necessary documentation.
• Operate and maintain the company vehicle and associated tools.
• Mentor and assist junior technicians in the field.
• 4-5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar projects.
• Proven experience in leading teams or serving as the lead technician on-site.
• Familiarity with megawatt-scale photovoltaic systems.
• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and repairs, particularly with inverters, DC systems, and power electronics.
• Background in Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and related tasks.
• Solid understanding of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety regulations.
• Proficient in using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and various testing instruments.
• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Capability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness and ability to travel 100% to solar farm locations.
• Capacity to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
