Associate Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate on-site with clients to pinpoint opportunities for operational enhancements and address pain points.

• Carry out field service responsibilities, including diagnosing technical problems and performing certified on-site troubleshooting.

• Create material lists for service tasks, ensuring that all materials, components, and equipment meet quality standards and are readily available.

• Conduct installation and commissioning, as well as maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.

• Foster and sustain positive relationships with customers to boost satisfaction levels.

• Detect potential new sales opportunities while addressing customer requirements and relay them internally.

• Recognize potential equipment failures early and propose corrective measures.

• Suggest product and quality enhancements.

• Provide management with recommendations for improving operations and customer service.

• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe working and environmental practices.

• Promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification in Skilled Trades (preferably electrical and electronics).

• OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.

• Ability to convey and communicate information (both written and verbal) to various levels within the organization.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

• Preferred experience in Project Management utilizing MS Project or Excel.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines for administrative tasks.

• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to be employed by ABB in the US.

• Selected individuals will be based in the state of Illinois.
