Junior Field Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the deployment and installation of industrial automation software at customer locations.

• Configure and resolve issues related to OT network connectivity, infrastructure, and integration with current industrial systems.

• Ensure that deployments adhere to the Purdue security model and best practices for OT network security.

• Address challenges with PLC vendor software, industrial communication problems, and integration difficulties.

• Act as the primary technical liaison for customers, providing troubleshooting assistance and ongoing technical support.

• Identify and resolve issues related to software, hardware, networking, and backups.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to tackle complex technical challenges and specific customer integration needs.

• Facilitate customer training sessions, technical workshops, and on-site enablement activities.

• Assist in technical discovery, product demonstrations, and pilot deployments for potential customers.

• Offer recommendations regarding secure OT network access, system reliability, and backup and recovery strategies.

• Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting manuals, and deployment processes.

• Work closely with Customer Success, Support, Sales, and Engineering teams to guarantee successful deployments and high levels of customer satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Field Applications Engineering, Controls Engineering, Technical Support, or a related customer-facing position.

• Hands-on experience with the deployment and installation of software at industrial customer sites.

• In-depth knowledge of OT networking and network deployment, including aspects like connectivity, segmentation, and secure access; understanding of the Purdue model is essential.

• Practical experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems, including troubleshooting vendor software such as Rockwell Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal.

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities across controls, software, hardware, and networking; familiarity with industrial communication protocols.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or another programming or scripting language.

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; capacity to collaborate across Controls, IT, Cybersecurity, and Engineering teams.
