This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Diagnose and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits.
• Carry out LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and infrared scans.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Conduct operations and maintenance on utility-scale solar facilities.
• Review completed work for quality assurance and safety compliance.
• Enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E safety regulations on-site.
• Identify system problems and address them on-site.
• Complete work orders, service logs, and necessary documentation.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and tools.
• Mentor and assist junior technicians in the field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in utility-scale solar (solar farms / ground-mount systems).
• Proven experience working with megawatt-scale photovoltaic systems.
• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and repair, including inverters, DC systems, and power electronics.
• Experience in Solar O&M / maintenance work.
• Familiarity with OSHA / NFPA 70E safety standards.
• Proficient in using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and various testing equipment.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
• Capability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel 100% / frequently to solar farm locations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
