This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, which include inverters, combiner boxes, and string circuits.
• Conduct LOTO procedures, IV curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and infrared scans.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure projects adhere to timelines.
• Carry out operations and maintenance for utility-scale solar plants.
• Assess completed work for quality assurance and safety compliance.
• Uphold OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards at the job site.
• Identify system malfunctions and address them on-site.
• Complete work orders, service logs, and necessary documentation.
• Operate and maintain the company's vehicle and tools.
• Mentor and assist junior technicians during fieldwork.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in utility-scale solar (solar farms / ground-mount systems).
• Proven experience with megawatt-scale photovoltaic systems.
• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and repairs, particularly with inverters, DC systems, and power electronics.
• Experience in Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) or maintenance work.
• Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety regulations.
• Proficient in using multimeters, meggers, amp clamps, and other testing devices.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
• Capability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to travel 100% to solar farm locations.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
