This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Verify and validate software operating on RTOS-based, multicore SoC architectures.
• Ensure adherence to DO-178C standards and alignment with system-level requirements.
• Conduct integration, system testing, and software verification across HLR/LLR.
• Provide support for advanced aerospace and defense initiatives.
• Operate within intricate hardware/software environments.
• Contribute to the engineering of safety-critical embedded systems for aerospace, defense, space, and medical device products.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related engineering field.
• Over 2 years of relevant Software Engineering experience in avionics or electronic controls embedded development within a safety or mission-critical context.
• Proficiency in developing or working with RTOS and understanding RTOS concepts.
• Familiarity with developing software that meets DO-178C standards.
• Experience with programming in C and Python.
• Background in integration and testing at both system levels and software test levels (HLR/LLR).
• All candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
• Preferred: experience with Asymmetric Multiprocessing.
• Preferred: experience debugging complex multi-core SoCs.
• Preferred: master’s degree in software engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Preferred: experience with ARM processors, SoC features, ARM Dev Studio IDE, and ARM DStream Probe.
• Preferred: experience in developing device drivers and board support packages.
• Preferred: familiarity with ARINC 615A, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, PCIe, LIN, and CAN.
• Preferred: understanding of authentication, authorization, and confidentiality concepts.
• Preferred: familiarity with actuators and sensors.
• Preferred: experience with BVA, SCA, and DCCA.
• Preferred: experience with DO-330 Tool Qualification.
• Preferred: skills in communication, active listening, self-management, escalation of roadblocks, clear communication, and ability to follow direction.
• Preferred: general understanding of engineering principles.
• Preferred: experience in team leadership.
• Preferred: exposure to emerging technologies such as generative AI, automation platforms, and digital assistants.
