Software Test Engineer – QA Automation Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive end-to-end UI test automation for the Occibo web application.

• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and regression suites for essential user interactions.

• Convert product specifications into automated checks, accommodating edge scenarios.

• Work alongside the development team to establish test data strategies and ensure stable selectors.

• Execute tests within CI, monitor failures, and contribute to maintaining a reliable test suite.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance the speed of test creation, analysis, and maintenance.

• Engage with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Vitest, and GitHub Actions.

• Collaborate closely with the founder and the development team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

• Familiarity with at least one test automation framework, preferably Playwright or Cypress.

• Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript and Git.

• Knowledge of CI pipelines and principles of reliable test design.

• Interest in AI along with experience in using AI tools.

• Fluent in English.

• Candidates should be available to commence in October 2026.

• Internship must be a requisite part of your degree program.

• Previous experience in SaaS UI automation is a plus.

• Experience with API testing using Postman or REST clients is desirable.

• Located in Berlin and available for occasional onsite presence is preferred.
