Software Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and publish clear, high-quality product content, which includes user guides, release notes, knowledge articles, troubleshooting assistance, and best practices.

• Cultivate in-depth product knowledge and act as a reliable subject matter expert for the supported Sugar products.

• Engage in product grooming, design evaluations, demonstrations, and release processes to grasp new functionalities and advocate for the user.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, UX, and Support teams to pinpoint deficiencies, influence product enhancements, and improve the customer experience.

• Simplify complex technical information into straightforward, useful, and easily comprehensible content.

• Contribute to enhancing SugarAI’s support experience.

• Create templates, reusable skills, and automated workflows to elevate content quality, consistency, and team productivity.

• Produce documentation for customers, partners, and employees.

• Assist in promoting the adoption of AI-powered tools and innovative workflows.

• Work together with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and other teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a software technical writer, software developer, CRM administrator, marketing automation administrator, technical support engineer, or in a similar capacity.

• A passion for educating customers and the ability to create clear, user-focused content.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with outstanding grammar, writing, and communication skills.

• Capability to communicate effectively and succinctly with all levels of application users, including end users, administrators, and developers.

• A strong emphasis on user needs and a commitment to creating exceptional software experiences.

• Confidence in managing projects autonomously while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.

• A 4-year degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Sugar Sell, Sugar Serve, Sugar Market, and associated applications.

• Experience in contributing to software feature planning.

• Familiarity with Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, and other web application technologies.
