Software Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Guide and mentor a small team of developers.

• Take ownership of the technical discussions with Product and UX teams.

• Establish the architecture and set the quality standards for the product.

• Decompose large challenges into manageable tasks that the team can deliver.

• Collaborate with a diverse team to create customer-centric products.

• Utilize and develop state-of-the-art algorithms.

• Create 3D and 2D user experiences.

• Engage with a supportive remote team under flexible work options.

• Contribute to the development of industry-leading blast design CAD products within Orica’s Digital Solutions team.

• Collaborate with teams located across Australia and internationally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading or mentoring a small development team.

• Strong communication skills to convey technical trade-offs to Product and UX.

• A history of making and taking responsibility for architectural decisions.

• Expertise in C# or comparable programming languages.

• Experience handling large 3D datasets and developing spatial algorithms.

• Knowledge of 3D rendering principles and low-level graphics APIs, including OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan.

• Experience in user interface and workflow design, emphasizing usability and performance.

• Capability to develop high-performance algorithms for computationally demanding tasks.

• Demonstrated success in cross-functional team settings, delivering reliable and high-quality software solutions.

• Background in developing mining software or experience in mining-related fields.

• Basic familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

• Experience with 3D modeling or CAD software, like Blender, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
