Software Solutions Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement secure digital solutions for Matrix's commercial and federal clientele, including the Department of War.

• Convert client needs into applications, automated workflows, integrations, dashboards, and collaborative tools.

• Engage throughout the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of dependable, well-documented solutions.

• Promote continuous process enhancement and business process reengineering through mapping, data collection, analysis, visualization, and the development of digital solutions.

• Assist in proposal creation by providing content for methodologies, timelines, and other designated sections.

• Aid in project execution encompassing budgeting, scheduling, team organization, prioritization, quality assurance, invoicing, reporting, technical documentation, presentations, and project deliverables.

• Meet with clients and stakeholders to present findings, address issues, answer inquiries, and nurture relationships.

• Organize and facilitate both virtual and in-person stakeholder engagements aimed at brainstorming, visioning, and tackling complex challenges.

• Develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain secure applications, automated workflows, dashboards, portals, and collaborative solutions under senior technical guidance.

• Engage in discovery, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, sustainment, and retirement using Agile methodologies.

• Utilize Azure DevOps, Git, code reviews, issue tracking, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Create both front-end and back-end features utilizing C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, and Python.

• Configure Microsoft Power Platform solutions through Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio, alongside SharePoint Online and Power BI.

• Design SQL Server structures and queries, and establish REST APIs and integrations.

• Contribute to scalable enterprise solutions that support over 100 users and multiple business functions.

• Implement application security, Zero Trust principles, identity and access management, data governance, and practices for safeguarding CUI.

• Assess approved AI-assisted development tools and contribute to secure AI-enabled business solutions.

• Troubleshoot issues, conduct quality checks, maintain documentation, support user acceptance testing and training, and collaborate with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Provide peer support, engage in code reviews, and assist in onboarding new team members; this role does not encompass direct supervisory responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field; relevant professional experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• At least 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in software or application development.

• Experience in delivering projects from requirements and design through deployment and maintenance.

• Proven track record in delivering business applications, automated workflows, custom forms, system integrations, dashboards, or enterprise collaboration portals.

• Hands-on experience in developing, testing, deploying, and supporting business applications within a team setting.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline development.

• Expertise in modern application development frameworks, integration patterns, APIs, front-end and back-end technologies, and cloud-native architectures.

• Proficient in at least two of the following: C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, or Python.

• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.

• Knowledge of SQL Server, data structures, REST APIs, and systems integration.

• Understanding of enterprise architecture, application governance, development standards, platform lifecycle management, SSDLC, application security, Zero Trust, identity and access management, and protection of CUI.

• Interest or experience in AI-assisted development tools and secure AI-enabled business solutions.

• Ability to work efficiently in Scrum or Kanban teams, communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and manage competing priorities.

• Willingness to travel to project locations or other Matrix offices as required.

• Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance; a current clearance is advantageous.

• A valid driver's license and successful completion of the Company's MVR screening are required.

• Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer or Azure Developer Associate; Scrum Master or SAFe Agilist; CompTIA Security+ or Palantir Certification.
