Software Quality Engineer – M/F/D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ensure and continuously enhance the quality of technical software throughout the entire development lifecycle.

• Implement company-wide coding quality standards for PHP, preferably Yii2, as well as Node.js.

• Further develop and refine the code review processes, criteria, and quality benchmarks.

• Administer and optimize SonarQube, Quality Profiles, and Quality Gates.

• Incorporate static code analysis, security scans, and quality metrics into CI/CD workflows.

• Automate quality checks within build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Assess technical debt, quality risks, and security vulnerabilities.

• Identify improvement measures and consistently monitor their execution.

• Prepare quality metrics for relevant stakeholders in a clear and audience-appropriate manner.

• Support the architecture, security, and quality evaluations of applications.

• Provide guidance to development teams and business units on code quality, maintainability, and technical excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of relevant professional experience in software quality, software development, or Quality Engineering.

• Several years of robust software development experience with PHP, ideally Yii2, alongside Node.js.

• Practical experience with SonarQube, static code analysis, Quality Profiles, and Quality Gates.

• Experience in integrating quality and security checks into CI/CD pipelines and within build, testing, and deployment processes.

• Knowledge of established secure coding principles, application security requirements, and techniques for analyzing technical debt.

• An analytical, structured, and solution-oriented work approach.

• Clear, concise, and audience-appropriate communication skills, combined with strong collaboration and assertiveness.

• Initiative, a strong sense of responsibility, and high standards for technical excellence and sustainable software quality.

• Proficiency in German and very good command of English.
