Software Quality Engineer – M/F/D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Ensure and consistently enhance the technical quality of software throughout the entire development lifecycle.

• Establish organization-wide code quality standards for PHP, preferably Yii2, and Node.js.

• Further refine code review procedures, review criteria, and quality benchmarks.

• Manage and optimize SonarQube, Quality Profiles, and Quality Gates.

• Incorporate static code analysis, security assessments, and quality metrics into CI/CD workflows.

• Automate quality verification across build, test, and deployment stages.

• Assess technical debt, quality risks, and security vulnerabilities.

• Define and consistently monitor improvement actions.

• Prepare quality metrics for relevant stakeholders.

• Assist in architecture, security, and quality assessments.

• Provide guidance to development teams and business units on code quality, maintainability, and technical excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of pertinent professional experience in software quality, software development, or Quality Engineering.

• Extensive software development experience with PHP, ideally Yii2, as well as Node.js.

• Hands-on experience with SonarQube, static code analysis, Quality Profiles, and Quality Gates.

• Experience in integrating quality and security evaluations into CI/CD pipelines, as well as build, test, and deployment processes.

• Understanding of established secure coding principles, application security necessities, and methodologies for analyzing technical debt.

• Analytical, structured, and solution-focused work approach.

• Clear, concise, and audience-appropriate communication skills, along with the capability to collaborate and assertively drive initiatives forward.

• Self-motivation, a sense of responsibility, and high standards for technical excellence and sustainable software quality.

• Proficiency in German.

• Strong command of English.
