QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee automated end-to-end testing for both internal and external systems.

• Implement evaluation frameworks for AI and LLM-driven features, establish quality benchmarks for outputs, identify prompt-behavior regressions, and assess the non-determinism of generative AI.

• Collaborate with engineers to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that quality indicators are highlighted early in the process.

• Disseminate testing methodologies among engineers while adhering to scalable quality standards.

• Advocate for shift-left testing practices and assist engineers in their adoption.

• Assume responsibility for testing essential workflows from start to finish.

• Facilitate the transition from manual testing to a thorough automation suite.

• Contribute to maintaining reliability and security for customer-facing applications.

• Collaborate with the QA lead, senior QA personnel, engineers, and product managers to refine testing practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in QA or test engineering, with substantial time spent in automation-focused environments.

• Expertise in test automation, including APIs and Single Page Applications (SPAs).

• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Playwright, Jira, Datadog, or similar platforms.

• Experience in testing third-party implementations and Salesforce-related integrations.

• A genuine interest in AI and a commitment to understanding how to effectively test it and leverage it for testing purposes.

• A strong desire to take ownership, work collaboratively with team members, and enhance the business through quality products.

• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with engineers and product managers.

• Comfort with ambiguity as processes and standards continue to evolve.

• A deep sense of curiosity and a self-initiated approach to work.

• Experience with low-code/AI-assisted test automation platforms such as Mabl, Tricentis Tosca, Katalon Studio, Testsigma, or Leapwork.

• Previous experience in a startup environment.

• Exposure to testing AI or LLM outputs, including prompt assessment, output grading, or regression testing for generative systems.

• Familiarity with fintech or regulated industry contexts.

• Ability to read application code.

• Understanding of software testing architectures.

• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and cloud infrastructure, with a preference for AWS.

• Legally authorized to work in the Dominican Republic.
