Software Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop testing strategies to ensure product verification and validation.

• Create and uphold comprehensive test plans.

• Design, implement, and execute both manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs.

• Engage in internal and cross-functional reviews of requirements and design specifications.

• Review, interpret, and summarize testing results.

• Document anomalies in the defect tracking system.

• Update stakeholders on status and suggest solutions for identified issues.

• Uphold quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing processes and practices.

• Provide support and mentorship to other members of the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in testing complex software systems.

• In-depth knowledge of QA processes, testing methodologies, and documentation standards.

• Practical experience with both manual and automated testing.

• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.

• Working knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or NeoLoad.

• Experience with Jira, Zephyr, qTest, or similar test/bug management systems.

• Understanding of Jenkins or a comparable CI/automation server.

• Experience in database testing and proficiency in SQL.

• Basic knowledge of a programming language such as JavaScript, Java, or Python.

• Familiarity with automation testing tools like Tosca, Playwright, TestNG, or Selenium.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

• Strong time management and organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
