Software Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Establish testing strategies for product validation and verification.

• Develop and manage comprehensive test plans.

• Design, create, and execute both manual and automated test cases for web applications and APIs.

• Engage in internal and cross-functional assessments of requirements and design specifications.

• Evaluate, analyze, and summarize testing outcomes.

• Record discrepancies in the defect tracking system.

• Provide updates to stakeholders and suggest solutions for identified challenges.

• Uphold quality standards throughout the entire development lifecycle.

• Assist in the ongoing enhancement of testing processes and methodologies.

• Mentor and support other members of the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in testing complex software systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of QA processes, testing methodologies, and documentation standards.

• Practical experience with both manual and automated testing.

• Familiarity with API testing tools, such as Postman.

• Working knowledge of performance testing tools, like JMeter or NeoLoad.

• Experience with Jira, Zephyr, qTest, or other test/bug management systems.

• Understanding of Jenkins or a similar continuous integration/automation server.

• Experience with database testing and SQL.

• Proficiency in a programming language such as JavaScript, Java, or Python.

• Experience with automation testing tools like Tosca, Playwright, TestNG, or Selenium.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
