Software Engineering Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and upkeep of cloud integration functionalities like queue splitting and database branching.

• Remain actively engaged and contribute directly to the codebase.

• Collaborate with Kubernetes, cloud services, database systems, message brokers, and various other tools and platforms.

• Establish the technical direction for the team while upholding high engineering standards.

• Promote the effective use of AI within the team.

• Assist in prioritizing tasks, removing obstacles for engineers, and driving the execution of the roadmap.

• Recruit and mentor engineers as the team expands.

• Collaborate with Product, Solution Engineering, and users to foster adoption and growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in leading engineering teams.

• At least 4 years of professional experience in writing production-quality code in Rust (preferably), C++, or C.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.

• Strong systems-level thinking abilities.

• Capability to debug intricate, distributed systems.

• Comfortable with asynchronous work in a remote-first, startup setting.

• Experience in creating developer tools (preferred).

• Familiarity with building Kubernetes operators or other components that interact with the Kubernetes API (preferred).

• Understanding of backend infrastructure tools such as data stores, message brokers, and GitOps tools (preferred).
