Software Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Lead a team focused on the design and development of enterprise-level applications.

• Provide technical guidance and address complex issues related to products and platforms.

• Contribute to achieving product milestones while understanding interdependencies among products.

• Collaborate with local functional leaders, including those in professional services and Information Technology.

• Work alongside stakeholders to attract talent, establish goals, assess performance, and recognize achievements.

• Integrate contributions from team members effectively.

• Offer technical advice, mentorship, and direction to team members.

• Coordinate with peers in Product and Technology to strategize and implement resource plans.

• Assess software for stability, compatibility, scalability, interoperability, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in software product development.

• Significant experience managing distributed, high-performing development teams.

• Familiarity with various software development methodologies and their associated tools.

• Proven track record of innovation within a software development team.

• Experience in a leadership role for creating complex software products that are successfully delivered to clients.

• Understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, including coding standards, secure coding practices, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Knowledge of database concepts and programming.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to articulate design walkthroughs with architects and engage in strategic discussions and requirements with teams.
