Software Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of robust .NET applications within a cloud-based Azure environment.

• Define and execute scalable system architecture, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability across services.

• Promote CI/CD best practices, including the implementation and optimization of pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions.

• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to transform complex business requirements into technical solutions.

• Mentor and assist engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.

• Establish and maintain engineering standards for coding practices, security, performance optimization, and system design.

• Lead code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and consistent outputs.

• Contribute to Agile delivery processes utilizing Jira.

• Encourage the adoption of modern technologies, patterns, and methodologies.

• Assist in incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous enhancement of system stability and resilience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in .NET development.

• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.

• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring engineers within a delivery team.

• Extensive experience with Azure services and cloud-native architectures.

• Practical experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

• Experience working within Agile frameworks and utilizing tools like Jira.

• Solid comprehension of software design principles, including clean architecture and scalable system design.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.

• Experience in fintech or regulated environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Exposure to frontend technologies like Blazor or React.

• Strong understanding of system observability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
