Software Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, lead, and make strategic decisions regarding the architecture of both front-end and back-end systems.

• Ensure that systems are scalable, performant, secure, and maintainable.

• Mentor, guide, and provide technical insights to developers.

• Produce high-quality code and develop intricate features.

• Implement automated testing and engage in code review processes.

• Establish and advocate for development best practices.

• Identify and eliminate technical obstacles.

• Assist in resolving challenging engineering issues.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to convert business requirements into technical specifications and estimates.

• Suggest and enact enhancements to the software development lifecycle and agile practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress).

• Minimum of 4 years' experience with Node.js.

• Previous experience as a Technical Lead.

• Basic proficiency in English (sufficient for coding purposes).

• Availability to commit to 40 hours of work each week.

• Strong practical experience as a Fullstack Developer.

• In-depth understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and high-availability distributed SaaS systems.

• Capability to break down complex issues and propose simple, effective solutions.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate deadlines, priorities, and solutions.

• Commitment to continuous learning, independence, and proactivity.

• Experience with chatbots and/or startups is a plus.

• Familiarity with Angular 2+, Java, NestJS, relational databases, AWS, and automated testing is desirable.
