Software Engineering Intern – Enterprise Data & Systems, Salesforce, Snowflake

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze data lineage across billing platforms, transactional processors, legacy portals, and operational services.

• Determine source systems for customer, account, and relationship data attributes.

• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and functional leads to establish Salesforce customer identity specifications.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis, identify schema drift, manage duplicate records, and define mapping rules from source to destination.

• Assist in creating scalable and modular workflows for data extraction, transformation, and ingestion.

• Develop optimized SQL transformations, views, and data processing routines in Snowflake.

• Map staged data in Snowflake to standard and custom Salesforce objects.

• Engage in daily stand-ups, backlog grooming sessions, and architectural design discussions.

• Create documentation for data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams, integration flows, and automated validation tests.

• Utilize AI-driven developer workflows and automation tools for querying, schema mapping, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong academic or project experience in writing SQL queries, including joins, aggregations, and window functions.

• Knowledge of relational database concepts, including foreign keys, indexing, and entity relationships.

• Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python or Java.

• Familiar with standard version control practices using Git/GitHub.

• Demonstrated eagerness and capability to learn Snowflake and Salesforce.

• Skill in translating complex data structures into simple language when interacting with stakeholders and gathering requirements.

• Curiosity and persistence in exploring intricate systems and data flows.

• Interest in developing reusable tools, scripts, and data models.
