Software Engineering Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Become a part of Gamebreaking Studios’ Internal Games Team

• Contribute to Dungeon Rampage or other potential internal game initiatives

• Develop and sustain essential features for the company’s engaged fan community

• Create and maintain functionalities utilizing ActionScript, C++, C#, and/or PHP

• Collaborate on both backend and frontend components of the Dungeon Rampage codebase

• Strategically plan and execute tasks with a proactive approach

• Provide clear updates on ticket status to fellow team members

• Actively participate in team meetings and rituals

• Advocate for improvements in company culture whenever possible


⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled student, recent graduate within approximately one year post-university, or equivalent experience

• No previous work experience necessary

• Available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a preference for 40 hours

• Must be able to start by January 12th, 2027 at the latest

• Genuine passion for games and entertainment

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in your field; academic or demonstrable personal projects are acceptable

• Strong foundation in Computer Science principles

• Enrolled in, or a recent graduate from, a university Computer Science program or a comparable discipline

• Familiarity with a game engine such as Unity, Unreal, or Godot; hobbyist and academic projects are acceptable

• Proficient in using version control software like Git or Perforce

• Self-driven and eager to work in various aspects of game development

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities

• Fluent in English

• Willing to work according to US time zones, available from 8am to 3pm Pacific Time

• Strong, stable internet connection suitable for remote work and video calls

• Previous experience working on a code base with three or more engineers is preferred

• Experience with Unreal Engine or C++ is a plus

• Showable game projects or portfolio is preferred
