Software Engineering Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical efforts for the Vivo+ platform team.

• Collaborate across teams, concentrating on platform architecture and engineering.

• Assist in making vital architectural decisions.

• Evaluate systemic impacts across services and user experiences.

• Establish and enhance architecture and engineering standards.

• Review intricate technical solutions.

• Aid in the investigation of significant production incidents.

• Recognize architectural risks and opportunities for enhancements.

• Facilitate platform decoupling and modernization efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed secondary education — certificate of completion.

• Proven experience with large-scale digital platforms.

• Experience with super apps or high-volume marketplaces.

• Familiarity with mobile applications supporting millions of active users.

• Experience with omnichannel platforms.

• Background in ecosystems with hundreds of microservices.

• Experience in environments handling high transaction volumes per minute.

• Knowledge of platforms reliant on APIs and legacy systems.

• Experience with distributed cloud architectures and ensuring high availability.

• Experience working with multiple teams to evolve a platform concurrently.

• Understanding of distributed systems architecture and microservices-based platforms.

• Knowledge of REST API design, versioning, and governance.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures.

• Understanding of scalability patterns, including stateless services, caching, asynchronous processing, circuit breakers, and rate limiting.

• Knowledge of resilience and high availability in distributed architectures.

• Experience in backend engineering using Node.js or Java/Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of integration between mobile applications, BFFs, APIs, and legacy systems.

• Understanding of mobile architecture and API consumption patterns.

• Flutter experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of observability, including logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.

• Experience diagnosing complex incidents in distributed environments.

• Understanding of impact analysis across services and user journeys.

• Knowledge of platform thinking and reusable patterns across teams.

• Understanding of domain boundaries and domain-driven design.

• Knowledge of architectural evolution and minimizing coupling between services.
